The Aventura community comes together to remember the Israeli employees who were killed – NBC 6 South Florida

People in South Florida come together to be murdered to the two Israeli embassy employees murdered in Washington in Washington, this week in what the FBI described as a terrorist act.

Dozens of people remembered Sarah Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky at a vigil in Aventura Friday. They stated that “stand against terrorism”, “stand against hate”, “violence is the costs for hate speech” and “We are all Sarah and Yaron”.

The police say that a shooter shot the couple while leaving an event at the Capital Jewish Museum. The alleged shooter screamed “Free Palestine” after the police put him in handcuffs.

Police officers were also the vigil. One of the organizers, Evan Ross, said the entire community mourning.

“I think it is all of our jobs to fight anti -Semitism, just like all our jobs are to stand against bigotry, no matter where it comes from or who is aiming,” said Ross. “The person who committed this murders said they did this in the name of Gaza and he murdered two people who had just spoken of their night about how to finance diplomatic solutions to get humanitarian aid in Gaza Strip.”

Pini and Cyna Benari both come from Israel and are now part of the Israeli community in South Florida. They were two of the many people who took part in the vigil.

“I think it has to be more security everywhere,” said Pini Benari. “It is terrible that it ended, it is terrible that it has to stop.”

“To see two flowers, two young people murdered, why, why, why, do you mind something, why murder, who gives them the weapons to murder, why?” Cyna Benari said.
