Jimmy Carr reveals that James Corden checked him every evening in the middle of the tax scandal

Jimmy Carr said how James Corden checked him in his tax scandal every evening.

The comedian made the headlines in 2012 because of his participation in a tax avoidance system. He later said that it was “a terrible error of judgment” and paid the entire tax.

He opened about it in Alison Hammond's big weekend show and said that the positive side of experience was that it was a “filter” for his friends and had to see him who they were.

Carr was the latest guest in Hammond's BBC show, where she spends a weekend with various celebrities. The show was broadcast on Friday, May 23rd, and saw how Hammond the comedian about the controversial quiz.

“The thing with a canceled distance is that they are on the front of the newspapers and are publicly ashamed. The good side is a filter and it is a filter for your friends,” he said.

“James Corden would call me for a week after my appearance and just check in. 'You are okay? Nobody cares Jim, you're okay, don't worry.'

“And then he would call the next day and hear that I had to deal with it, had a difficult time, and he would just call and you will see who your friends are.”

Hammond asked if it was a frightening time in his life, and Carr replied: “Yes. I think people thought it could no less interest and in fact I found it very …”

“Stressful?” proposed the TV star.

“Yes, now, there are two types of things,” Karr continued. “It is legal and there is completely legal. Completely legal means that I found a little gap and something happened, and that was me.”

This Morgenstern Hammond pointed out that Carr hadn't found the gap himself, but he said: “Yes, but you are responsible for it, so go:” Ok well “, and then you just have to wear it. It's a tax thing, I just got out and just came out, 'I'll pay for it' and people went, 'ok'.

“If you have done something like this and you go: 'Look, I put my hands up, I made a mistake, I'll pay everything', people forgive these things a lot.”

Carr also spoke about losing his 8 of 10 Cats Co-Star Sean Lock.

“It is a strange thing where you go, you know, it is coming and it is still shocking,” said Carr.

“And then it was just the strangest day as if I was constantly sending the best parts of Sean. And all the clips had me. We made so many, most TV shows that he did was there. It is a very privileged position in which you can be.”

Hammond asked if the comic humor helped him deal in times of sadness.
