The fatal shooting of an opposition in Kenya seems to have been a targeted murder, the police said.

Charles Ong'ondo was shot on Wednesday evening after his vehicle stopped in the capital Nairobi on the NGong Road.

Former Prime Minister Raila Oding, who founded the orange democratic movement, said Kenya lost a “brave son of the soil”.

Odinga questioned the results of the 2022 elections after he had lost against Ruto, and in a petition to the Supreme Court claimed that the survey had been spoiled by “intentional illegal and criminal subversion”.

In March, Odinga and Ruto signed a memorandum of Understanding to work together in a “broad government”.
