Around 50 square meters of roof in the Yen Nghia station on Hanois Cat Linh – Ha Dong Metro Line were damaged, which flooded rainwater on the platform on Friday.

Heavy rain and strong winds swept over Hanoi around 10 a.m. rainwater through the damaged roof on the platform of the Yen Nghia in the Ha Dong district to soak the area. The ward management used two employees to continuously build the water.

The employees reported that part of the roof of the station had been canceled by Taifun Yagi in September 2024 and had not yet been repaired.

In conversation with the media, a representative of Hanoi Metro Co., Ltd., said the operator of the Metro line that the company can only recommend repairs because ownership of Hanoi is owned by Hanoi.

The state-owned company currently completes the procedures to take full responsibility for the infrastructure and the assets of Cat Linh-Ha Dong. As soon as the transmission is complete, the operator plans to solve all maintenance problems immediately.

At the beginning of this week, on May 19, the bad air conditioning on a Cat Linh-Ha-Dong train led to water walking into a car and forced some commuters to use umbrellas or change the seats. The Hanoi Metro later made it clear that the problem was due to unstable drainage of the air conditioning.
