2 inhabitants of Elkhart who were killed in St. Joseph County (Michigan)

St. Joseph County, Michigan (Wndu) -An Elkhart -mann and an Elkhart woman died on Friday evening in an accident in St. Joseph County.

The crash occurred shortly after 5:30 p.m. in the USA 131 near the River Drive N. River in Constantine Township.

The police say a car drove east on the River Road and approached us 131 when it did not stop and was pulled before a semi-sip.

The driver of the car, a 22-year-old Elkhart man, and his passenger, a 23-year-old Elkhart woman, died at the scene. They were not identified at this point.

The semi-trick driver, a 40-year-old man from Walker, Michigan, was not injured in the crash.
