Trump's National Security Council has great in the middle

play

Washington – A considerable number of employees of the Weißen House National Security Council was rejected on May 23 when the Trump administration carried out a large restructuring of the agency.

The shots reported by the Washington Post, Reuters and other media came three weeks after President Donald Trump pushed out the former national security advisor Mike Waltz and made secretary Marco Rubio the Interim Head of the NSC.

Employees who dealt with a wide range of geopolitical questions received termination known to the NSC reduction, which is likely to grant the state and defense departments more authority.

The White House did not respond to a request for comments.

CNN reported that more than 100 NSC employees received any messages around 4:20 p.m., they were informed that they were transferred to the administrative leave and gave them 30 minutes to clean their desks. The workers represented a considerable proportion of the entire NSC workforce, which under President Joe Biden grew to around 300 employees, but was already in operation with less than half of this number under Trump.

Axios quoted an unnamed official of the White House who said: “The NSC is the ultimate deep state. It is Marco against the deep state. We take the deep state.”

The Trump administration has ended tens of thousands of employees in the federal government and forced even more than voluntary buyouts for the government of the government launched by Elon Musk.

The restructuring takes place after Trump released several high-ranking NSC officials in April, who were reported by the right-wing activist Laura Loomer as infidelity to Trump during a visit to the White House. Loomer also expressed concerns about Waltz, who had nominated Trump as a US ambassador to the United Nations after Waltz resigned as a national security advisor.
