Man who was killed in overnight stays in the Central West End

St. Louis – The police examined after a shot overnight in Central West End on Thursday morning.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD), the shootout took place shortly after 2:40 a.m. in the North Sarah Street area and the Washington Avenue in the Central West End.

When the officers arrived at the scene, they found a man on the street who suffered from a gunshot wound. The man would later be declared dead at the crime scene.

Brian Howe from Fox 2 recorded video overnight when the examination developed. The police presented evidence markings at the crime scene in order to collect as much information as possible. The police had set up black barricades to hide the victim's body until the medical examiner arrived and transported it out of the scene.

The police called murder detectives to the scene to examine the shootout. At that time there is no message from the police about any evidence of a potential suspect at the shootout.
