NJ Dad Louis Serbeck was beaten in front of a youthful daughter after confronting the family's friend, his son on Easter Sunday

A beloved father of New Jersey was killed with a baseball bat and a hammer in front of his youthful daughter in front of the house of her suspected 17-year-old attacker and his father on Easter Sunday.

Louis “Gus” Serbeck went to Eric Hannah's house of Vineland on April 20 with his daughter Brooke Serbeck, April 19, after she told him that she was identified as JH the day before by Hannah's 17-year-old, the public prosecutor's office of the district of Cumberland County wrote in a press release.

According to the authorities, the 54-year-old bodybuilder from Millville intended to talk to the teenager about his daughter's claims, but the confrontation quickly became violent.

JH and Serbeck “involved in a physical argument” at the front door of the house in Hannah before the teenager supposedly grabbed a metal baseball bat and hit it several times.

Eric Hannah also accepted the attack, the prosecutors claimed.

Hannah then supposedly grabbed a metal flashlight and beat Louis Serbeck in the rear part of the skull.

Brooke, which her father was promised and beaten, was also “hit the head by JH during the chaos”.

Officials from the Vineland Police Department and EMS reacted to the scene and found Serbeck in a critical condition.

The father of two children was on the way to the Inspira Medical Center Vineland when he died, as the public prosecutor of the Cumberland County district announced.

JH and Hannah were arrested on April 21 and charged with murder and arms forces.

JH is also exposed to additional charges for serious bodily harm due to strikes of Serbeck's daughter.

Hannah was instructed to the prison of Cumberland County while his son was brought to a youthful facility. The prosecutors still decide whether JH is charged as an adult.

Serbeck's brother, Christopher Serbeck, said that the devoted father was for his kindness and is ready to do “everything for anyone”.

“He would take the shirt off his back and give it to you because you need it. You call him, he will be there,” Christopher told 6 ABC Action News when he came back against tears on April 25th.

“He literally put his life down for his daughter.”

Christopher told the outlet that the two families were “lifelong” friends.

“He went to school with my eldest brother. Knew him all our lives,” said the grieving brother. “No expectations that something like this happens at all.”

Serbeck will also be remembered as a committed father and “violent protector” for his two daughters Summer and Brooke.

“Summer and Brooke have released a delicate, loving, compassionate side of Gus, which many people have never seen before,” says his obituary. “He was never happier than when he had one of his daughters in his arms, who shared a great hug of smiling cheeks.”

The beloved father of two children was also a grandfather of two boys from his daughter and “would be everywhere, Home Depot, Walmart, the flea market, and he would see something he had to buy for his grandchildren. He enjoyed nothing more than these boys.”

Serbeck has become close to his daughter Brooke in recent years, and the two were “always together, some fun and stupid”.

“He would call up the work to take her to do hair or nails or let her go shopping because she wanted the latest sneaker. Gus was the epitome of a protection, the father worried,” was the mail.

He was also worshiped because he was smart and “tinkered around in his garage and built something out of nothing.”

“He loved building it, he was an efficient carpenter and stupid who had a great knowledge about the building industry, of which he was not afraid to share with someone who was ready to listen and learn,” says his obituary.

Serbeck is reminded of his father Louis; His two daughters and two grandchildren; His brothers Rich and Chris; His former woman, joy and “numerous aunts, uncle, cousins, nieces and nephews.”
