Ducks win super regional opener

The celebration lasted until late in the night on May 18, after Oregon No. 16 gathered to defeat Stanford in her regional NCAA -softball elimination game at the Jane Sanders Stadium.

The Ducks still have their biggest goal ahead of them, but the women's college World series for Women's College will be required at home against Liberty this weekend in the best-of-three-super regional series from May 23 to 25.

“You like to drive a lot with the heights, but this week we really had to return too neutral,” said Senior Shortstop Paige Sinicki in Oregon. “This whole year we talked about a playing field, and that remains this weekend.”

The Big Ten Champion Ducks (51-8) were shortly before the post-season when they lost 14: 1 in six innerings in the second game of the regional tournament with double elimination against Stanford.
