Yankees' strength suddenly jumps licks

DENVER – The Yankees went into the season and thought they had one of the best conclusions in baseball, and they were right.

It was not newcomer Devin Williams, but before and after his downgrading there was no better aid in the majors than the new closer Luke Weaver, who has an ERA of 0.40 ERA in 21 appearances.

Now, a setup man, Williams also looks all the way.

In addition, Mark Head of Jr. was very good in his role in the late Innings and Jonathan Loaisiga, who was elbow surgery in his first three excursions last week from April 2024.

Once again, the Bullpen of Yankees is a large team strength. After releasing a top five league era in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024, it lasts the five points this season at 3.31, after three arms for 3 1/3 goalless Innerings were combined against the Rockies on Friday evening.

However, there are concerns.

There was Fernando Cruz, the Big Bullpen of Yankees this season, who went to the injured list with shoulder inflammation this week, everyone hopes that it is only a 15-day setback.

There was Ian Hamilton, mostly outstanding, when it was healthy in the last two seasons and had two more bad excursions this week, which in his last six and 6.14 ERA made four excursions.

And now there is a side -page Tim Hill in a little radio.

Hill was attributed to 1 1/3 goalless Innings on Friday, but he replaced starter Clarke Schmidt in the fifth inning with two or two outs and the Yankees in front of us. In front of a left Ryan McMahon, a double double climbed on the top of the midfield wall.

The Rockies had the lead and held their ninth win in 51 games.

“Definitely super frustrating,” said Hill.

Hill lowered his ERA to 3.57, but now he had five disappointing excursions in his last eight. This was sprinkled after a good start to his season, which was a great pick -up in the season last June last June.

“I would say that the command was not great,” said Hill. “The bad luck, all of the stuff was okay, but the command could be much better.

“I optimize with some things, try to dial some things and basically go from there.”

In Hill's groundbreaking battle with McMahon, he wanted to “down and in” with a 1-1 drawer. It hit the inner corner, but crossed the plate directly over the knees instead of on the bottom of the zone.

“At the end of the day he put a good momentum,” said Hill.

The Yankees manager Aaron Boone was also not responsible for the field that the Yankees finally fell down -“Credit McMahon, a big swing on this ball -but he recognized the recent battles.

Before the Yankees gathered in the Yankee stadium on Wednesday evening, Hill came up to get the final in the sixth inning of a tie game, and served Jake Burger in seventh place.

The week before in Seattle, Hill allowed two runs for over two thirds of an inning in a win, and the next night the lost pitcher was in the 11th inning when two goals in a row brought the Ghost Runner home for a dormitories.

The Yankees still love their Bullpen, especially the backend with Williams, the Weber.

They are also optimistic that Cruz will soon be back and that Hitter will look bad with his dirty change.

And they are confident that Hill will recover quickly.

“He is injured a little in some matchups in one day, on which he might have to face someone we don't necessarily want (to put him),” said Boone.

Boone liked the Hill/McMahon -Matchup.

“A great swing on this ball,” said Boone. “To increase this ball, you just don't see that leftists do so much against him. He made a great swing on it and it was the difference.”
