Opinion | Trump is immensely vulnerable

How can the Americans best defend their democracy against their president?

In my last column I told three lessons from other countries in which popular movements have leaded the authoritarian rulers forward. The critics of President Trump were honestly ineffective – witness of his choice and the way his approval reviews have recently increased in some surveys – but Trump gives us a lot to work. He is immensely vulnerable.

When I rely on these lessons from my last column, I see the most promising attack lines for his critics here:

Trump is deeply corrupt. All presidents are accused of early practices: Remember that President Barack Obama has reduced the presidency by wearing a brown suit. But Trump is a criminal who uses his office to enrich himself because there is no president in history.

The Times reported that more than $ 2 billion fell to Trump companies in just one month, and some of his activities look alarming like opportunities for influencing factors. How else do we explain his announcement that the largest investors in his new cryptocurrency -Mecoin, $ Trump, would get dinner with him? Some guests flew to dinner on Thursday from overseas and previously admitted that they hoped to influence Trump and the politics of his administration for financial regulation.

The Trump family founded another cryptocurrency outfit, World Liberty Financial, which received an investment of $ 2 billion from the United Arab Emirates. Don Jr. also starts a member club in Washington with a fee of 500,000 US dollars. And Saudi Arabia and Qatar invest in Trump companies and put money on family bank accounts.

In the meantime, Trump uses the government to help his buddy Elon Musk (who even knew that the richest man in the world was in need?). The White House South Lawn was in a temporary exhibition room for Tesla vehicles, Howard Lutnick asked the people to “buy” the shares of Tesla, and American messages have supposedly urged impoverished countries to grant official permits for Musks Starlink system.

Trump hurt you in the paperback. One reason why Trump won the presidency was the voter -substantiality of inflation and economic weakness under Joe Biden. Now it is Trump who harms the economy and beats the voters in the wallet.
