2 killed when crashing with semi-trick in the southwest of Michigan

Constantine Twp., Mi a crash between a car and a semi-trick killed two people on Friday evening in the southwest of Michigan.

The soldiers of the state police in Michigan responded on Friday, May 23, around 5.40 p.m. to a report on an accident against US 131 near the River River Drive in Constantine Township.

A 22-year-old man who drove a passenger and a 23-year-old woman in the car, both from Elkhart, Indiana, were killed, according to MSP, when the crash. They died at the scene.

Witnesses informed the police that the car had traveled to the east on the River River Drive and approached us 131 when the driver did not come to a standstill and merged into the path of a half key and a trailer.

The crash was caught on the semi-border dash camera, the police said.

The semi-layer driver, a 40-year-old man from Walker, was not injured.

The police say it is not known whether alcohol or drugs were factors for the driver of the car involved in the crash. Both occupants of the car wore seat belts.

The police say that they do not suspect that the semi-drink driver was under influence. He also wore his seat belt.

The crash is examined.
