Vehicle met by Semi, 2 killed in Constantine TWP

Konstantine Township, Michigan (Wood) – two people from Indiana were killed when her vehicle was hit by a Semi in Constantine Township on Friday evening.

At around 5:40 p.m., the soldiers of the Michigan State Police were sent to the area of ​​US-131 and N. River Drive for a crash.

The responding soldiers were informed by witnesses that a vehicle that was driven by a 22-year-old Elkhart, Indiana, drove to the east on the N River. The vehicle did not come to a standstill at the intersection and was hit by a semi truck. MSP said that the Dash camera video from the Semi confirmed this.

The driver and his passenger, a 23-year-old Elkhart, Indiana, woman, died at the crime scene, said MSP.

The driver of the Semi, a 40-year-old Walker man, was not injured.

It is not known whether alcohol and drugs were factors for the two from Indiana, said MSP. Alcohol and drugs are not suspected factors for the Semi truck driver.
