No. 21 Tennessee Baseball (43-15, 16-14 seconds) is on Saturday in the Sec-Tournament semi-final in Hoover, Alabama, in Battle No. 9 Vanderbilt (40-16, 19-11 seconds).

The first pitch in Hoover Met Stadium takes place in the SEC network at around 11:00 a.m.

The first pitch was moved in Hoover from 1 p.m. ET due to the bad weather in the late afternoon.

Tennessee is entering its best baseball of the past six weeks on Saturday. So far, the 8-seed vols are 2-0 in Hoover with a win of 15: 10 against 9-seed Alabama and a 7: 5 victory in 12 Inning against 1 Seed Texas.

The Vols scored a whopping 20 goals in the victory against Alabama, and AJ Russell pushed the relief to achieve a stress -free victory. Against Texas, Brandon Arvidson took a career performance from the Bullpen, while Gavin Kilen made the extra-in-end heroes available on the plate to withdraw the regular season champions of the SEC in Texas.

There is a lot to like how Tennessee is playing. The offensive of the Vols has apparently turned around a corner since the beginning of the Arkansa series, and Russell and Arvidson's performances change the after season prospects of UTS Bullpen.

If these trends are continued, Tennessee could be one of the country's more dangerous teams that are progressing in the future. What if defensive errors are tidy? UT is a safe national championship candidate.

Tennesses victory couples are massive for the chances of UT to organize a NCAA region. The Vols seemed to be a week right in front of the hosting bubble, but the victories of one of the best team in the country came, Tennessee catapulted into the 16 projected seeds of the D1 baseball.

A big reason why Tennessees is high rank in the RPI metric. After the victory in Texas, Tennessee in the RPI is the 9th place in RPI.

Vanderbilt 4-Seed has played a game in Hoover so far. The Commodores defeated Oklahoma 6-1 behind Strong Pitching on Thursday to get to the semi -finals.

Pitching was Vanderbilt all the season. And while the people have many capable arms to go Saturday, Dores's dominant pitching staff gives them the advantage in this department. However, Tennessee swings the bat as well as in the first few weeks of the second game.

Vanderbilt took two out of three against Tennessee in Knoxville two weeks ago. The Vols won game 1 behind an elite excursion from Liam Doyle, but the Commodores won game two with 10: 6 and game three with 7: 5.

Overall, Vanderbilt had an enormous second half of the season. The Commodores went 8-7 in the first half of the SEC game and 11-4 in the second half. Vandy ended his season with a series about Kentucky, in which two victories came in a walk-off fashion.

Since Vanderbilt has the Pitching edge and plays like one of the hottest programs in the country, Tennessee has the full day on Saturday. But the people go together at the right time and put the stage for a great semi -finals.

Notes for injuries/availability
  • In the second game against Kentucky a foul ball unfortunately met Tennessee Relief Pitcher Tanner Wiggins in the mouth. Tony Vitello said that there were teeth that were involved in Wiggins' injury, and the second year was then operated on his jaw.
    • Read more about the Wiggins status here.
  • UNC Transfer First Baseman Alberto Osuna does not remain eligible.
    • Weeks ago Osuna took legal steps again to be justified. Read more here.

Pitching Matchup:

vs.

Commodores Jr. RhP Cody Bowker (2-4, 4.74 ERA, 14 app.

Pitching notes:
  • Kuhns will try to jump back from a start of 2.0 inning a week ago, in which he lost command after a bad Balkan call and a defensive game from his infield.
    • Kuhns was the most unfortunate pitcher this season when it comes to defending things makes things more difficult. We will see whether things can be sharper in this department today and whether Kuhns can go longer.
    • Tennessee probably needs Kuhns to go at least 4, hopefully probably more than 5 innings to save one or two valuable weapons for a potential Sec -tournament championship game.
  • Bowker was Vandy's second starter, so no surprise that he starts in Vandy's second game in Hoover. Tennessee saw him quite well in Knoxville and scored four runs with five goals in 4.2 Innerings.
