According to the Sheriff's office of the Larimer County, the MPs tried to stop a traffic stop near the Roma Valley Drive and the Napa Valley Drive at around 10:48 p.m. when the driver refused. The persecution took a few minutes through living areas before the deputies used a precision real estate technology (PIT) near the Boardwalk Drive and in the Highcastle Drive. The maneuver made the suspect's vehicle lose control and collided with a tree.

Three people in the vehicle – an adult male driver, an adult male passenger and an adult female passenger – were injured in the crash. Rescue workers taught them out of the rubble and all three were brought to hospitals in the region. Due to the severity of their injuries, the Cirt was activated by standard protocols.

No law enforcement authorities or spectators were violated.

The Loveland police department will lead the investigation with the support of the crash team from Fort Collins Police Services (Collision Reconstruction and Scene Processing). As the examination progresses, the Loveland Police Department will publish additional updates.

Further updates, if available, will be published at northfortynews.com.
