Family, friends think about the death of the woman hiking

Hiking through the Arizona desert was the many facets of Hannah Moody's life that she regularly recorded on social media.

Hannah Moody, a 31-year-old inhabitant of Scottsdale, was found on May 22nd about 600 YARTS-ETWAs more than a third of a mile from a parking space on Sonoran Mountain Preserve from a parking space. At a Christmas, Hannah gave her family matching hoodie footie pyjamas, who are onesies in adult style and remembered with a slight laugh. The 66 -year -old Terri remembered that Hannah had generously sent her money in 2014 to finance a trip to visit archaeological and other sacred sites in Israel.

Mom saw daughter days before the loss

Hannah comes from Northern California and moved to Scottsdale about eight months ago from Charleston, South Carolina. Hannah previously lived in Arizona and missed the state, said her mother.

Terri and her husband John were about a week before the early death of her daughter in Sedona for a work conference. The mother and daughter made a hike and then made it to Scottsdale, where they spent a day together.

“This is quite a gift,” said Terri, reflecting the “very valuable” time that she spent a few days before her death with Hannah.

The youngest of three siblings, Hannah, was a committed and loving aunt, Joel told his son and daughter and the two sons of her brother Ethan Moody.

Joel looked back when his 7 -year -old daughter was about 18 months old and Hannah was a romper with the inscription “Your training is my warm -up”, fitting to a shirt that was wearing Hannah. She often knelt down to connect with her nieces and nephews, to close their eyes and deal with them, regardless of whether they were old enough to speak.

Hannah had the natural ability to attract people, said her friend Megan Pasquel. The 34-year-old inhabitant of Phoenix-in the Phoenix region described her relationship as a sisterly, a bond that began in 2018 when she met as members of a gold fitness studio in Venice, California, while Hannah lived in Marina Del Rey.

“She was the kind of person who tried to make a stranger a day, be it a compliment for her or the purchase of coffee. And just always having a smile on her face and always being very friendly for someone she met,” said Pasquel.

Woman shared her renewed belief

To honor Hannah on her birthday, Pasquel and others organize a Sunrise hike meeting on May 31 on May 31st in the Gateway Trailhead of the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy, which is located on the Thompson Peak Parkway and Windgate Ranch Road.

When she returned to her faith, “she did not see it as something that was like an inheritance or that she was committed to something like some people who grew up in the church,” said Joel. “She saw it as a gift, and so she took it around and was free to share it on social media.

Terri said she would often say to her daughter that she was an “online missionary for Jesus”.

Joel added that Hannah would “understand that people mourn”, but “she also wants people to be happy that she is in a better place and look forward to seeing her on the other.”
