The suspect in Elizabeth City Apartment's death examination turns out

Elizabeth City, NC (Witn) – An investigation of the death of a man who says that in the apartments in Elizabeth City, after the police said, the man they were looking for has turned around.

On May 9, shortly before 11:30 p.m., the police went to the Walker Landing Apartments in the 1003 Walker Avenue to examine a report that someone had been shot.

When they arrived, the police said that they found Gideon Griffin Jr. dead in his apartment.

A preliminary investigation showed that Joseph Simmons, a former resident of the 1200 block of the Herrington Road, was of interest.

On May 24, the police said that Simmons turned. According to the police, Simmons was arrested for murder and a weapon was released into an occupied property.

The police said he was brought to the Albermarle prison in Albermarle's prison without any indictment, but a 250,000 dollar bond for the release of a weapon in a building.

Simmmon's first court appearance is set for May 27th in the Pasquotank District Court at 9:30 a.m.
