Ransomware gang licks the French government's e -mails

Stormy hackers have posted a data record from French government agencies with outdated password -Hashes that increase
Concerns regarding reuse and phishing risks.

Ransomware gang has published what she claims to have sensitive data from several French organizations in a dark web forum.

The stormy cartel, which has been active since 2022, recorded the data record as a “comprehensive leak”, which is supposed to affect top -class French government agencies.

However, researchers from Cybernews examined the information and found the quality of the data questionable, with outdated MD5 password -Hashes stating that they could come from older violations.

Despite its age, the data record could still be dangerous if repeated login information is involved. Threat players can take advantage of the leaked e -mails for phishing campaigns by pretending to be governmental authorities to extract more sensitive details.

Cybernews found that even weak password -Hashes can be cracked at some point, especially if there were no stronger security measures at the time of the collection.

Among the organizations concerned are Agence Française de Dévelopement, the regional health authority of the region of the Paris region and the Court of Justice.

The number of exposed E -Mail addresses varies, with some institutions only leaked through, while other hundreds are opposed. The French cybersecurity Agency Anssi has not yet commented.

Last year France stood with another massive exposure incident in which 95 million citizen files were affected, which complements the concerns about the current cyber weak stations.
