Death and Metal Gear Solid Mastermind Hideo Kojima always wanted to make a film, but Guillermo del Toro told him not to do it

It is no secret that Hideo Kojima is a Cinephile. He constantly publishes his thoughts about the latest films on social media, Metal Gear Solid Cutscenes are sometimes notorious how long and forgiving they can be, and Death Beaching 2's cast list: On the beach, remarkable Hollywood names are crowded. But the famous game director was apparently convinced not to follow the filmmaking by anyone other than Guillermo del Toro.

Kojima also said in the latest edition of the Edge Magazine – Out Now -, where he remembered a conversation that he with Nicolas Winding Refn (director of Drive and an actor in Death Stranding 2) and Guillermo del Toro (known for classics such as Shape of Water and Pan's Labyrinth and, Heartman in Death Stranding.)
