At the beginning of this week it became known that the New York Rangers released the former co -trainer Michael Peca after the team hired the former head coach of Pittsburgh Penguins, Mike Sullivan.

This leaves a job on the Rangers bank and there are several people available who could take on this role well.

Several candidates would fit into the form of the Rangers

Chris Drury, General Manager of Rangers, will look for her next co -trainer together with Sullivan, and a trainer wants to restore after she has been released by Anaheim Ducks, who is Greg Cronin.

In his short term, Cronin went 62-87-15 in Anaheim as head coach. In addition, the 80 points of the Ducks this season were an improvement of 21 points compared to last year, but not enough to fight a playoff spot – and not enough to save Cronin's job. – Jennifer Streeter

The 61-year-old still has a lot of petrol in the tank and probably would have another shot on a job and where it is better to revive her career at the New York Rangers and Sullivan.

Another potential candidate that could help the Rangers would be Edmonton Oilers co -trainer Glenn Gulutzan. He is currently heading the power play for the team, which has clicked well in the playoffs and in recent years.

In the 2024-25 NHL season, the PP percentage of Edmonton was 23.7%and took 11th in the league compared to the Power Play of the Rangers with 28th place of 32. -Jennifer Streeter

The Rangers -Power game needs upgrade and Bringing Gulutzan could be the answer, since the team will try to change the list in the course of summer, especially with the potential step of the Ranger Center Chris Kreider.

Rangers have a candidate who has recently worked with you

Last but not least would be the former co -trainer of Seattle Kraken, Jessica Campbell. Campbell wrote the story as the first trainer in the NHL and has extensive knowledge of hockey when she played the game itself, but the Cornell University of Ivy League and was captain of her squad last year.

In contrast to the other candidates on this list, the female Play caller already has a story with the blues shirts. In 2022, Campbell joined the development camp of Rangers in 2022 and was the first woman in the history of the original six franchise company that serves in such a role. – Jennifer Streeter

One can certainly say that the team of coaches will take the time to search their next assistant, but if they are available names and others at the end of the season
Would you like to turn the blues shirts around.
