Unhredible photo found in the scene in which the couple was shot showed their last moments alive – US news

A number of disturbing photos were discovered at the scene of the crime, which died of fatal gunshot wounds.

19-year-old Lisa Gurrieri and Brandon Rumbaugh (20) from Arizona, USA, celebrated their one-year anniversary on a camping trip between October 17 and 18, 2003.

The couple made their way to the Bumble Bee Camping in Yavapai County after loaning a white Ford F-150 pickup from Lisa's mother. They said family members that they would return the next day.

The bodies of Brandon and Lisa were later found in the back of the truck, which was parked in the warehouse in a remote dirt area.

According to Silent Witness, which offered a reward of 10,000 US dollars for everyone, “they both had fatal gunshot wounds”.

At the scene of the crime, the investigators found a disposable camera that was about 100 feet from the truck that contained a series of photos.

One came from Lisa and Brandon in the truck bed, which is believed to be the last photo of them.

Another picture showed a lamp in a uninhibited building, from which the police hoped to receive further information about the identity of the possible murderer.

Lisa's mother, Paula, told ABC15 in 2023: “I called her to look at them … I had to ask her if she was still there.

“She said: 'No, we're not there yet, mom, we have so many miles in front of us.' I said: “Ok, just be careful”, and that was the last conversation that I had, except “I love you”, the normal.

“On the day she was missing, I knew something was wrong.

Commander Tom Boelts from the Yavapai County Sheriff said: “The camera, we were able to show that it was bought as they were on the way up there.

“You bought it in a grocery store in the Scottsdale area on the day you went. We were able to restore some photos of this camera.

“Two of them were pictures of Lisa in the bed of a truck and then Brandon in the bed of the truck.

“Then there is another picture that was overexposed – we believe when the camera was thrown – that only shows a very small corner that was not overexposed.”

In an update two years ago, Boelts said that “still of interest” and that they interviewed “many people”.

“We are just waiting for something to break – someone who reports forward to tell us something or DNA or another test that may come along the pipe,” he added.

The case remains unresolved.
