As promised, Kermit der Frog as spokesman for the University of Maryland 2025, with the end of the University of Maryland, with the “most famous frog in the world”, who distributed wisdom and jokes at the Alma Mater von Late Muppets, Jim Henson's creator.

The frog was unveiled in March as spokesman for the opening speech. As mentioned in Kermit's speech, Jim Henson (“literally everything I did”, a graduate of the University of Maryland in 1960 with a focus on housekeeping before he had a legacy in puppet show. A bronze sculpture by Kermit and Henson is also a popular landmark on Maryland's campus.

“Life is not a solo act. It is a large, untidy, delightful ensemble piece, especially if you are with your people,” added Kermit. “Life is like a film. Write your own end. Believe, keep doing this.”

Kermit der Frosch ended his opening speech by leading the graduates of Terps in a Singalong reproduction of “The Rainbow Connection”.
