Carrot River – RCMP in North -Saskatchwan examines the death of a child under 10.

In a press release, the police said that their department in Carrot River reacted to a report on Friday evening that a child under ten in a house in Shoal Lake Cree Nation was seriously injured.

The officials found a non -reacting child in the house, and paramedics explained the child to dead on site despite life -saving efforts.

Death was determined as suspicious, and Saskatchewan RCMP main crimes have taken over the investigation.

A suspect was identified and taken into custody, and the mounties say that the suspect and the child were known to each other.

The police say that their investigation has determined that the incident does not constitute an increased risk of public security, and further updates are added as soon as they are available.
