Jones Scores 26, Ionescu Sinks win free throws when Liberty Fever defeated with 90-88

Indianapolis-Jonquel Jones had 26 points and 12 rebounds, and Sabrina Ionescu added 23 points, including the winner free throws with a 2.9 second lead to lead the New York Liberty on Saturday via the Indiana Fever 90-88.

Caitlin Clark, who ended a distance of 12, missed 3-point with a four-point game, followed by a 33-foot scumpter theater who ended the third quarter in the last game of the game of Natasha Cloud. She ended with 18 points, 10 templates and 10 sales and shot 2 for 11 out of 3.

Breanna Stewart and Cloud each had 16 points for freedom (3-0).

Aliyah Boston led Indiana (2: 2) with 27 points and 13 rebounds. Lexie Hull, starting instead of Dewanna Bonner, and Kelsey Mitchell added 15 points each.

Clark's sales were distributed between precise feeds for their teammates, including Boston, who went back from a four-point appearance on the victory against Atlanta's dream on Thursday.

The fever had a lead of 80-68 with less than nine minutes in the game. It was an impressive midgame run for the newly formed fever against the reigning WNBA champions after falling back from 14 at the beginning of the second quarter.

But the experience of the Liberty was evident when it was important. Jones, Stewart and Ionescu quickly brought them back into play. They made a 14-2 run for an 84-82 lead after Jones triggered successive 3-pointers.

After the game, Clark said that she had to look at the tape to see if she was fouled in the last game. Coach Stephanie White was not that neutral.

“I think it's pretty outrageous what has happened to us in the last four games, you know a minus-31 free throw discrepancy,” said White. “And maybe I could understand it if we only sniffed 3s. But we don't have it. We attack the edge and the disrespect for our team was quite incredible at the moment.”
