Boaz woman killed, man in the accident with a vehicle in Etowah Co.

Etowah County, Ala. (Waff) – A Boaz woman was killed and a man was injured in Etowah County on Wednesday in an accident with a vehicle.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (Aleea), the crash occurred on Wednesday at around 4:25 p.m.

The woman was identified as 40-year-old Lisa O. Fitts. The authorities said that she was fatally injured when the Honda Accord from 2004 was on the left as a passenger in the street and hit a part of it. After the initial impact, the Honda lifted and hit a house.

Fitters was declared dead at the scene. The authorities said that the driver of the Honda, Kevin A. Owens, was injured and flew into the Huntsville Hospital for treatment. According to the authorities, neither fits nor Owens used a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The crash occurred in the Whitesboro Road near the Beech Street, about three miles east of Sardis, in Etowah County.

Soldiers from the Aleas Highway Patrol Division continue to examine.
