DPS soldiers react to donkey deaths near the New River

New River, AZ (Azfamily) – The soldiers of the State of the Arizona Highway Patrol give the alarm after a number of deaths of tragic donkeys on a major Valley Freeway developed at the beginning of this month.

Soldiers said they had reacted to several reports about donkeys and Burros last week who roamed the I-17 in New River near Table Mesa. They say that it is due to the fact that off-roading vehicles and minor drivers left the gates openly and fenced in to make new ways, which caused these wild animals to loosen up on the busy street.

Five donkeys were captured and safely returned to be hit in the area the next morning after fencing, which led to their escape. Soldiers indicate a serious warning to everyone who contributes to these incidents.

“If we catch them, we will arrest them,” said Azdps Highway Patrol on social media.
