Community borders streets along the procession for family that was killed in the Van Alstyne crash

Van Alstyne, Texas (KXII) – On May 17th, a Texoma family suffered an unimaginable tragedy.

According to law enforcement, Tommy Moorehead drove with his two children, 6-year-old Lynlee and 4-year-old Tommy Jr.

But shortly after the Jim Cannon Road, they were hit west by a truck and tried to make a pass in a no-passing zone.

All three were killed in the crash.

The driver of the truck, who met the vehicle of the Moorehead, the 63-year-old Rocky Patterson, was arrested by homicide in three cases.

The monument and the funeral on Saturday morning were met with a massive support of the support for mother and wife Brooke Moorehead.

The community gathered and lined the streets from the funeral company to the van Alstyne Cemetery, where the three were relaxed too early.

“I don't think they ever know what's right in this type of tragedy, but the only thing I know is appearing,” said Bryan Lewis, who helped support the support. “Our community is a community of people who are extremely interested and take care of it.”

The air was heavy and calm when the procession through the streets of the city rolled with chauffeur by leading hearts on this last trip.

“I saw first -hand how this community can really gather for people who make themselves through tragic situations,” said Luke Burrell, who came out to support. “I think there is a lot about the people here, it means that we are really looking for one after the other and take care of each other.”

The drivers of Van Alstyne American Legion also set themselves along the processionary route.

Director Angela Barchers said you will organize a fundraiser for the family on June 14th.

“Van Alstyne, we support each other and Grayson County, we support each other,” she said. “We have to show you that we are here, simply love and support you and help you.”
