The Addison Police Department reacted to the scene in the 300 block of the North Wood Dale Road, and the explosion led to the Wood Dale Road closing north of the Lake Street.

According to the authorities, some houses in the region were damaged and a house was evacuated due to structural damage. The windshields of the cars also seemed to be broken.

The police said the explosion left an rubble scene from the Oak Street to Overkamp Avenue.
