The family of a man who was killed in the state of Florida wants a public investigation

Lawyers from the family of Tiru Chabba, who was killed this month during a mass shooting at Florida State University, called for further information on death on Wednesday.

During a press conference at the FSU campus, lawyer Bakari Sellers said the family wanted to answer the motif of the shooter and how he got the use of the weapon.

It is about “keeping it real, simply keeping it and keeping it locally”. We will immerse yourself in difficult topics, but also make sure that we have fun on the way.

“We ask for a thorough and transparent examination,” said Sellers. “We believe that this is necessary for healing. We also believe that it is necessary so that such incidents do not occur. Not only somewhere else in the state of Florida, but everywhere in this country.”

When asked about the possibility of a lawsuit, sellers said that further answers were necessary before the family take legal action into account.

“We had a funeral that buried a great man last week, and the only conversations that our family had with the law enforcement authorities were when they were informed about his death,” said Sellers. “So we ask that there is a certain amount of transparency. We ask that there is thoroughness.”

Chamba, a resident of Greenville, SC, was on campus as an employee of the dealer Aramark Collegiate Hospitality.

At the shootout on April 17, Robert Morales, the university's menu, were also killed while six people were injured.

According to the authorities, 20-year-old Phoenix Ikner opened the fire with a pistol around lunchtime. Ikner was shot and captured after he confronted police officers.
