A verbal dispute over a grocery command in a Checkers restaurant in Florida was escalated to a fatal shootout on Wednesday evening, the office of the Sheriff of Oscola County said.

Mackey was released for the first time since shooting on Friday afternoon in front of a judge where he received no bond.

Kim Francis, Checkers spokesman, announced the following explanation:

“We are shocked and sad about the incident that last night in our restaurant in Kissimmee, Florida. The actions of this one employee do not reflect the values ​​of the thousands of our hard -working employees across the country. We work closely with the police in their investigations and send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the guests.”

On Friday, Checkers was open again on business.

Many people and families were in nearby hotels for the holiday weekend and other local events.
