The Norristown police found a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound in his back yard on Friday

A 20-year-old man was shot in Norristown on Friday evening, the law enforcement authorities said.

Tahaj Andru Harrison was found dead in his back yard in the 600 block of the Corson Street at 9:45 p.m. – a few doors from the officials responded to a report on shots, the district prosecutor of Montgomery County said in a statement on Saturday.

Shotpotter, a technology that uses acoustic sensors and triangulation to identify shots in real time, the Norristown police had drawn attention to several shots that were fired near the scene of the shootout, the explanation said.

Harrison was declared dead at the crime scene. An autopsy from the Coroner Office of Montgomery County found that his death was caused by a gunshot wound.

No information about an arrest was published in the case.
