Knoll rated in 3rd OT, Rooney stops 35 and the frost beat the load for a 2-1 series leadership

St. Paul, Minn.-Katy Knoll scored a goal in the third extension and Maddie Rooney scored with 35 parades to defeat the 2-1 task of the Ottawa on Saturday evening and to take on a 2-1 lead of the PWHL championship series in the third game in a row.

The defending champion Walter Cup Champions can secure the best-of-five series on Monday in the Xcel Energy Center with a win in Game 4 in the Xcel Energy Center.

Gwyneth Philips had 45 parades for Ottawa.

Klara Hymlarova blew up a shot from the point that was blocked by Phillips, but Knoll was there for a back bun against 9:57 in the third OT.

Emily Clark opened the rating with 8:22 in the first period. Gabbie Hughes shot a pass into the net through four frost players and Clark snapped into the net with a one-timer from a selective range.

Lee Stecklein scored 2:58 in the third quarter to achieve it 1-1. Claire Thompson dropped a pass back to the line to get a wrist sheet from the logo directly in the blue line.

Ottawa defeated the frost in the extension with 2: 1 to open the series, but Minnesota reacted with its own 2-1 victory in game 2.

It was the first triple-overtime game in the history of the PWHL final.
