Four people killed, four injured in the crash of Dickinson County

Wichita, Kan. (Kwch) – Four people were killed and four injured on Saturday afternoon in a frontal accident in Dickinson County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says that the crash took place in the western part of the county at 3 p.m. on K-4.

Soldiers confirmed that four people died in the crash in which two vehicles were involved.

According to the KHP, a Hyundai Elantra was on the road from 2013 and crossed the center line on K-4 and performed a 2025 Chevrolet traverse head.

A medical helicopter transported one person to the Wesley Medical Center, while others were brought to a regional hospital for care.

8-year-old Nathaniel Haney from Herrington, the 71-year-old Peggy Sutton from Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and the driver, the 30-year-old Dawn Peel von Herington, who were killed in Hyundai. A fourth inmate in the car, a 6-year-old boy, suffered minor injuries.

Denise Henely, 57, from Herrington, was killed in the Chevrolet, while his driver, 23-year-old Adam Henely from Salina, suffered minor injuries. A 14-year-old passenger was brought to the Wesley Medical Center for serious injuries, while a 20-year-old man suffered minor injuries.

KHP says that all occupants wore their seat belts.

Details, including what led to the crash, are still being examined.
