Exclusive: The community gathers to remember the 18-year-old, who was killed outside of Clovis McDonald's

Clovis, California (KFSN) – Hundreds in the Clovis Hills Community Church submitted on Saturday morning to celebrate a life.

They were not cameras inside, but Action News was the only stop on the church campus.

“It is only very heartwarming to see the number of people here here today,” said Stephen Quick.

18-year-old Caleb Quick should be ready to complete the high school, but instead his family puts him down.

“That was definitely devastating,” said Stephen.

In the night of April 23, Caleb was shot in Clovis in front of this McDonald's.

The shooter was at large for more than two weeks.

Two teenagers, a boy and a girl, have been charged because of his murder, but the investigators have not released a motif.

Action News does not call the two teenagers due to their age.

“Last night I went to the McDonald's for the first time and sat where he was sitting,” said Stephen.

He said he was also in the seat, where his son's alleged murderer was sitting for a few minutes before he quickly followed.

The 18-year-old planned to join the Air Force's high school.

The packed church was the latest support for community support.

“So many people spoke of Caleb as a big brother, protector, class clown, the guy with whom everyone could speak, and if he could see that they were expelled, he would bring them in,” said Stephen.

The fast family with an indelible emptiness that hope for justice for Caleb in the court system.

The two teenagers are due again in front of the Juvenile Court next month.
