Saturday morning brought a classic of sunshine and renewal, but the rest of the holiday weekend reminds us that the beauty of the warm season is often connected to stormy strings.

Alabama Wetter update: Strong storms that move through West Alabama

At this hour, strong storms move over West Alabama. The strongest are about Marengo County, where there is a harmful wind and a large threat to Hal. Others are on Tuscaloosa County.

Hail of the golf ball size can fall on US 43 south of demopolis

The big hail will move towards US 80 and faunsdale.

Heavy thunderstorm warning for the counties Northern Marengo and Southern Sumter until 7.15 p.m.

Demopolis and Linden approaches heavy storm with wind and hail with 60 miles per hour. The warning continues until 7:15 p.m.

Heavy thunderstorm warning for northwest Marengo, South Central Greene and South Heasters Sumter Counties until 6:30 p.m. CDT

At 5:50 p.m. there was a heavy thunderstorm near Dug Hill, about 7 miles west of Demopolis and moved east with 15 miles per hour. This storm produces wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour and quarter -sized hail.

Mesoscible discussion: strong storms in East Mississippi and Southern Alabama possible

A number of strong to heavy thunderstorms move south from the center of Mississippi, with the new storm development being found along a progressive outflow boundary. Some of these newer storms have already produced quarter -size hail.

Severe thunderstorm warning for the counties Sumter and Central Greene until 5.45 p.m. CDT

At 5:01 p.m., the National Weather Service in Birmingham discovered a number of heavy thunderstorms that extended from near Cooksville to Tamola and moved to the east with 35 miles per hour. These storms are able to produce wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour and quarter -sized hail.

Heavy thunderstorm warning for Northwestern Sumter County until 4:45 p.m. CDT

At 4:03 p.m. CDT was a heavy thunderstorm near Panola or about 19 miles southwest of Aliceville and moved east with 15 miles per hour. This storm is able to produce wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour and quarter size.

Heavy thunderstorm warning for East Lowndes and southwest of Montgomery Counties until 4:30 p.m. CDT

At 3:50 p.m. CDT there was a heavy thunderstorm near Hayneville and moved east with 10 miles per hour. This storm is able to produce wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour and quarter size.

Heavy thunderstorm warning for Central Lowndes County until 4:00 p.m. CDT

At 3:14 p.m. CDT was a heavy thunderstorm over Benton, about 9 miles northwest of Mooses and moved east with 15 miles per hour. This storm produces wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour and the quarter size.

Heavy T-Storm warning for Autauga, Dallas & Lowdnes Co. until 3:15 p.m.

At 225 pm CDT there was a heavy thunderstorm near Selmont-West Selmont and moved east with 15 miles per hour.

Heavy T-Storm warning for the counties Dallas & Perry until 2:45 p.m.

At 200 PM CDT there was a heavy thunderstorm near Vaden or 7 miles south of Marion, who moved east with 20 miles per hour.

Active weather with the potential of strong to heavy storms

From 9:25 a.m., rain and thunderstorms influence the northern part of Alabama, mainly in the northwest and in the north of the state.
