Hair absorption videos show cars that are dipped under water after heavy rain, thunderstorms in Delhi | Deployment

On Sunday morning, Delhi woke up to the gray sky with heavy rains after a night, accompanied by thunderstorms. The bad weather led to the distraction of 49 flights, while the streets to the airport also saw waterlogging. In some areas of Delhi, water logging was so serious that it immersed entire vehicles and forced the passengers to flee from safety.

Visuals that are shared by the Ani news agency show a bus and a car that dipped under water in Delhi Cantt.

Another video shared by Ani shows another car that is almost completely under water – this was shot on the Minto Road, an area in which recurring problems with water logging occur.





While the thunderstorm brought the welcomed relief of the humid heat in Delhi, the unexpected showers led to traffic jams, as many streets saw water logging.

“Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, divided by the language, united by converting it into river rafting spots within 15 minutes after rain,” read a contribution to X.



“It is extremely sad and annoying to see all of our big cities in this confusion during the rainy season every year. We cannot be a developed economy with this quality of the infrastructure,” said another X user.

The weather department had published a red warning of a nearby thunderstorm from the west and northwest on Saturday evening. It had serious thunderstorms or dust-related winds, accompanied by frequent lightning and gusty winds under its influence.
