Brooke Bellamy publishes the first social media video since Nagi Maehashi Plagiat

The influencer Baker Brooke Bellamy said her recipes were “inspired by somewhere or someone” in her first video blog since the cookbook author Nagi Maehashi accused her of the plagiarism.

“Since I opened my bakery three years ago and shared my life online, I have never taken a break between videos,” said Brooki Bakehouse founder in the Instagram role.

But I have never experienced something like I have in the past few weeks.

Maehahi suspected Bellamy's cookbook plagued two of her recipes that Bellamy has contested.

These were recipes for Caramel Slice and Baklava, with Maehashi introducing their social media on their social media by publishing a side-by-side screenshots of the ingredients, quantities and instructions from the two books.

Almost a month later, Bellamy said in a video blog that was posted on the Instagram account of Brooki Bakehouse that she did not invent the recipes.

“While all of these recipes are personal for me, I cannot say that I invented the cookies, cupcakes, brownies or cakes in the recipe book,” said Bellamy.

“They are all inspired by somewhere and someone in front of me.

“I have never subscribed to part of a story that adapts two women against each other, especially in the same industry.

“I think there is space for everyone, especially for more women in business.”

Two recipes side by side

Mahashi said the similarities between the recipes were the plagiarism, but the lawyers for Penguin Random House Australia, who published Bellamy's book, rejected her claim and said all recipes were written by Bellamy.

Mahashi “easily” made the statement “lightly” and knew that “it would open the locks for haters”.

Bellamy was fell as an ambassador for a state -financed program to teach girls “to think like an entrepreneur” after the allegations had been raised.
