PM Oli defends UML in the cooperative scandal, Slams Maoisten for “shameless hypocrisy” “Khabarhub

CPN-Uml chairman and prime minister KP Oli.

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Chairman of CPN-Uml has beaten up those who were involved in cooperative fraud and accused them of accusing CPN-Uml unjust.

Prime Minister Oli claimed that people who have misused cooperative funds themselves are now innocent and teach others about justice and integrity.

“They scream slogans, refuse to return what they owe and still cry the loudest about corruption – it is shameless,” he said.

He claimed that the campaign to combine the UML with the cooperative fraud was misleading and politically motivated. “There is an organized attempt to give the impression that the UML is behind the cooperative scandals,” said Oli.

He also took a rinsing at the Maoist Center chair Pushpa Kamal Daal 'Pracanda' and said that even those who are involved in corruption are now speaking loudly.

“Just listen to Pracanda – even those with questionable records keep dramatic speeches about combating corruption,” remarked Oli.

Oli compared Maoists' latest public relations work with the Mechi Mahakali campaign of the UML and said the Maoists had no similar public support. “While our campaign attracted huge crowds, they lacked this energy and back level,” he said.

Oli mocked the double standards of the accused of the cooperative and pointed out that while they talk about justice to victims, they do not have to return the stolen money.
