Russian drones, rockets 12 in Ukraine in the middle of prisoners exchange – politico

Almost 300 attack drones and almost 70 rockets – including ballistic rockets – were fired overnight, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on X.

The Russian air strikes came despite a diplomatic breakthrough when the two teams started the greatest Pow exchange on Friday since the start of Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2022.

US President Donald Trump praised the prisoner exchange and published the social truth: “Congratulations on both sides at this negotiation. This could lead to something great?” – Although the exchange had not yet started when Trump published his message.

In the meantime, Trump and Putin organized a two-hour call last week to discuss a US 30-day arms arrest. Trump called the conversations “very successful”, but Putin has so far only agreed to examine a non -binding “memorandum” in which potential concepts of peace are outlined.

Zelenskyy condemned the overnight strikes on Sunday and asked the international allies to improve the pressure on Moscow in order to end the conflict.
