The fight leads to a stab and knife injury, three suspects arrested

New Bern, NC (Witn) – Three suspects were arrested and accused after a fight on Sunday morning led to a stabbing.

According to New Bern Police, a fight broke out in Pinkys Pub in the 218 Middle Street in New Bern shortly before 2:00 a.m.

The 34-year-old Preston Blount was stabbed during the fight and brought to ECU Health in Greenville for treatment.

As he tried to arrest the participants, a new Bern police officer suffered a serious knife injury to his arm and was also brought to Ecu Health in Greenville.

Both victims are in a fair state, and three suspects were arrested and accused.

The 33-year-old Aaron Carter is charged with a fatal weapon due to assault in which the intention was killed to cause serious injuries, and an attack with a fatal weapon with the intention of lending serious injuries.

The 33-year-old William Blount is charged with disordered behavior and resistance, hindered and delayed.

The 29-year-old Layla Anderson was also charged with disordered behavior, attacks on a government official and resistance, disability and delay.

Carter is not recorded under any bond, Blount is captured on a secured bond of $ 4,000 and Anderson is held on a secure bond of $ 7,500.

All three people have a first appearance for May 27th.
