Red Sox Manager gives “worrying” update about the third Basemans injury

When Alex Bregman, the third Baseman of Boston Red Sox, went down on Friday with an injury, Boston's fans left the stadium how serious the injury to the third Baseman was actually.

The severity of the injury was unveiled, and according to Red Sox manager Alex Cora, Bregman is eliminated for a long time.

According to Jen McCaffrey from The Athletic, Cora Bregman's injury described as “significant” and said that it was very similar to his quad burden of 2021, which caused him to miss more than 50 games.

The removal of Bregman from the Boston list will be a big loss. He met with 17 doubles, 11 Home Runs and 35 RBIs in 197 bats .299. He was good at speed to beat his numbers from last season, and his bat will be difficult to replace in the next two months.

Bregman spoke about his injury and explained how he had felt since the game on Friday.

“I felt better (Friday) when I was injured. Then I couldn't really fall asleep last night, so I started to hurt pretty well,” he said by Nesn.com. “Then after the MRI I found out that it was pretty tense, and now it is time to concentrate on rehab. Nobody (the injuries) felt really good.”

While you are waiting for Bregman to return, the Red Sox hope to be produced by your prospect Marcelo Mayer from No. 2. It is a career 273 grille with 46 homes and 48 stolen bases in over 1,200 minor League bats.

Mayer was promoted to the big leagues on Saturday, before game 2 by Boston's Douleheader against the Baltimore Orioles. The debut was not as good as most, because it was 0-to-4 with three strikeouts.

Despite the overwhelming performance in his debut, the future for Mayer is Hell. In addition to the young Star Kristian Campbell, Mayer has the chance to play every day and to prove himself as a player of the Major League.
