3 killed in the crash near Michigan-Wisconsin border

Marinette County, Wi – an investigation is underway after three people died in a collision when a driver did not stop, the police said.

The people killed – all of Wisconsin – were identified as Daniel Mrotek, 60, from Berlin; Thomas Robe, 71; And Sharon Robe, 68, both from Oak Creek, according to the Sheriff's office by Marinette County.

The deputies of the sheriff responded to a report from 9:22 a.m. about an accident with two vehicles on Friday, May 23, in the city of Stephenson.

The police say that Mrotek drove to the west on the Moonshine Hill Road when he did not stop at the stop sign. Mrotek then collided with a vehicle that drove north on the County Highway A.

Mrotek did not wear his seat belt and was thrown out of the vehicle. He was later declared dead, the police said.

Thomas Robe and Sharon Robe were also killed in the crash. The crash is examined.

Marinette County is located on the Menominee River by Michigans Upper Peninsula.
