1 woman dead, 1 injured after the deputy shooting in Tampa

A woman from whom the police say that her daughter is shot is dead after an officer was shot in Tampa in the Palm River-Clair Mel Mel early Sunday.

The MPs of the sheriff of Hillsborough County reacted to a burglary in a house in the 7500 block of Carolton Circle, when they looked at a woman in the house who described her as a grandmother, she had shot her daughter in hand.

The police went into it and removed the daughter, of whom they say they were irregular. They then moved into a back room where the grandmother had barricaded, said Hillsborough County Chief Deputy Joseph Maurer.

Maurer said the woman ignored calls to drop her weapon, and when she raised her, Dep was shot. Joshua Thomas. Thomas, said Maurer, has been in the Sheriff office for 10 months and has been with Temple Terrace Police for six years. This is his first application of fatal violence, said Maurer.

Two other people, who described the police as roommates and grandchild, escaped the house unscathed. The police did not publish the names of the participants immediately.

Maurer described the incident as “domestic violence” and praised MPs for her work.

“They saved three people from a violent situation,” he said.

The police said that the investigation into the original shootings and deputy shootings have not yet been completed.
