play

Only a few motorsport events in the world have the same draw as the Grand Prix of Formula 1 Monaco. The crown jewel of the F1 calendar sees some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment to see some of the best drivers in the world in a close way.

It took the last round to secure her, but McLaren's Lando Norris crossed the to win his first Grand Prix of Monaco.

The requirement of two stops for the race on Sunday recorded a separation in strategies, but as is often the case in the Circuit de Monaco, the pole Sitter first came home.

Norris broke the round record in qualifying to take the pole position ahead of Ferraris Charles Leclerc and his McLaren teammate Oscar Piatri.

Norris performed the lead of the race on Red Bulls Max Verstappen with each of his pit stops. Verstappen held the lead into the last round when he finally made his second pit stop.

Norris had held Leclerc held for the handful of rounds, which led to Verstappen's second station. After Verstappen was cleared, Norris pumped into the fastest round of the race and brought the victory home, McLaren's first on the legendary route since 2008.

So it happened:

Norris raced away in the last round of Charles Leclerc and Oscar Piatri so as not to secure no doubt and win his first Grand Prix of Monaco.

The McLaren driver was again in round 50 of the lead and remained Charles Leclerc from Ferrari for effective leadership. Red Bulls Max Verstappen inherits the lead, but still has a necessary stop.

The Aston Martin driver was stopped around Monaco for his first points of the year, but the engine spent 38 in round. The Spaniard saved the car safely from the route to avoid more than a yellow flag, and he is the second driver who pulls back from the race after the Alpine gas from Alpine.

The new rules for Monaco for this season require at least two pit stops for every driver. Four drivers still have to stop in round 33: both Williams drivers (Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz) and both Mercedes drivers (George Russell and Kimi Antonelli).

Five drivers have completed their two obligatory pit stops: Isack Hadjar, Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman von Haas, Gabriel Bortoleo von Sauber, Franco Colapinto, Saubers Gabriel Bortoleo.

The Red Bull driver waited 28 rounds for his first pit stop. He comes from the Stop N Fourth in front of Lewis Hamilton.

Charles Leclerc in round 23 from the front of the field and let Verstappen inherit the lead. The Red Bull driver is the only runner in the TOP 5 that previously continues.

He leads to Lando Norris. Leclerc, Oscar Piatri and Lewis Hamilton complete the top 5.

It took up to round 20, but the polesitter and the early leader took the first of two mandatory pit stops in today's race. The McLaren teammate Oscar Piatri slept a round later.
