NBA insider reveals the hard truth about the potential Domantas Sabonis trade

After two consecutive top ten MVP ends and the third team of the third NBA appearances, the Sacramento Kings Star Center Domante Sabonis was almost entirely left out of the regular reports of the regular season this year.

Sabonis received only four votes from the third team from All-NBA this season, a drastic change compared to the past two years. The 29-year-old Big You achieved an average of 19.1 points this season, 13.9 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game with 59.0/41.7/75.4 shooting and put together another impressive campaign, but Sacramento's fights surely overshadowed his success.

The Kings only went 40-42 this season and lost the play-in tournament to miss the playoffs for the second time in a row. With the new General Manager Scott Perry at the top, Sacramento could now stand for a busy low season.

Although it is highly unlikely, there were talks about the Kings, who may be Domantas Sabonis in this low season, which could ultimately be the best solution for Sacramento. Even if the kings wanted to act Sabonis, it would not be as easy as many would think.

John Hollinger of the Athletic joined the Zach Lowe show to talk about what the kings could do in this off -season, but admitted the hard reality to act Domantas Sabonis.

“I think you have to find out if there is a market for Sabonis, and I think you'll probably find out pretty quickly that there is no,” said Hollinger. “This new negotiation and expansion was so overwhelming for him. I think [million].

“Sabonis is a valuable player. He has made all-star teams. He is very durable. But I just don't know whether it is a taste that many other front offices like, insofar as a team actually built … they almost drove to do the best of this year.”

Sabonis is certainly a polarizing player, and his archetype is so rare that most teams do not know how to build up properly around him, including the kings. Of course, most people want to investigate how the Denver nuggets, who successfully build up around Nikola Jokic, is similar, but the three-time NBA MVP is at a different level that the comparison should be thrown out of the window.

If the kings want to act Sabonis in this low season, they will quickly find out that no other franchise company appreciates him almost as much as they are, and that is the largest roadblock when he tries to buy a player.
