Ex-Ohio State and Penn State WR Julian Fleming seriously injured in fatal ATV crash

The former recipient of the state of Ohio and Penn State Wide, Julian Fleming, was seriously injured and Alyssa Boyd was killed in an ATV crash in Pennsylvania on Friday.

According to a report by the Pennsylvania state police, Fleming and Boyd was a passenger on the ATV when they collided with a deer that had jumped onto the street shortly after 8 p.m.

“None of the residents wore safety equipment,” the report said. “The operator of the ATV suffered serious injuries and was brought to Guthrie Troy Community Hospital. The passenger suffered extensive injuries due to the crash and was passed away at the crime scene. A recently deceased deer was set on site with damage on the ATV.”

Boyd was 23 years old. According to several reports, she was Fleming's girlfriend.

The 24 -year -old Fleming played four seasons in the state of Ohio before moving to Penn State for the 2024 season. He had 79 catches for 963 yards and seven touchdowns in his time with the buckeyes and 14 counts for 176 yards and a score in 2024 with the Nittany Lions. His most productive college football season took place in 2022 when he had 34 catches for 533 yards and six touchdowns. He was third in the team to get TDS behind Marvin Harrison Jr. and EMEKA EGBUKA this season.

Fleming was a five-star recruit in the 2020 class and comes from Pennsylvania. He was the No. 14 player of the country, the No. 1 recipient in his class and also the top recruit in the state when he committed himself to Buckeyes in May 2019.
