A gas leak from Formalin stamps at the PT Ram Prasad Bismil Government Medical College in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, panic on Saturday. According to reports, smoke emerged from the operating theater and caused eye irritation and breath difficulties in patients and companions.

On Saturday evening, panic broke out at the PT Ram Prasad Bismil Government Medical College in Shahjahanpur, after a suspected gas leaf of the Operation Theater led to a sudden release of Formalin damps, a chemical that was often used to maintain medical environments.

At around 4 p.m., thick smoke got out of the OT, which caused patients and companions to do uncomfortable. Several people reported burning sensations in the eyes and the breathing difficulties, which led to an emergency evacuation of stations.

According to the hospital staff, the vapors were probably caused by a leak of formalingas, which led to a stormy situation in the facility. A family member claimed that tuberculosis patients allegedly died of shock during chaos.

Fire teams arrived on site and carried out special spray processes to neutralize the gas effect. Most people in the hospital wore masks as a precaution. Since then, the hospital administration has claimed that the situation is under control, although the exact cause of the leak is still being examined.
