Guthrie continues the layers in the health contract scandal

Former infrastructure minister Peter Guthrie continued to withdraw the layers of the health contract scandal in Alberta's legislature this week.

Guthrie has strongly criticized the treatment of controversy during the question and set up a number of documents to improve transparency. This includes a brief prescription and handwritten notes that he prepared in front of a cabinet meeting on February 19.

Previously, Guthrie Health Minister Adriana Lagrange and Prime Minister Danielle Smith, to have misled a cabinet health committee, accused the dismissal of the Alberta Health Services Board at the end of January.

He further questioned the motif behind the dismissal of the board and pushed for a judicial review. He also demanded a persistent dependence on RCMP and the General Auditor's office in the study.

On April 29, Guthrie rose in the house to question the dismissal of the AHS board, of which he said that he was “hand-picked up” by Smith.

“Mr. Spokesman supported the AHS board of directors and its investigation in potential corruption fully and received their investigations in both Tylenol and Surgical institutions, and gave this UCP government a guideline to prevent these inquiries to prevent these inquiries and gave the AHS board, which was billed by four independent legal regulations. Receive records.

He also listed a number of specific appointments with regard to the timeline to discharge the board.

Guthrie submitted a third notes on Tuesday after submitting two the day before. This included records of a meeting of the health cabinet committee, in which Lagrange asked the committee to remove the AHS board.

His notes reflected growing concerns about measures and the reasons for dismissing the board of directors. This concern ultimately led to his resignation from the cabinet after the session on February 19.

Justice Minister Mickey Emery said the government was fully together with the investigation by the Auditor General and was not ready to speculate about the result.

“We will have this process unfold. We will wait to see what the results of the examination are, and if necessary, we would like to take measures,” said Emery.
