Himachal Police Rift explodes: SP left DGP Office with Chitta smuggling scandal

Shimla: In the Himachal Pradesh police, the Shimla superintendent of the police (SP) Sanjeev Gandhi accused the office of the General Director of the police (DGP) of connections to the Chitta -drug smuggling network. The serious allegations were raised during a press conference on Saturday, which increased the ongoing internal conflict between the district police and the state headquarters.

SP Gandhi claimed that confidential information from the CID was leaked by the employees within the DGP office, which affects sensitive studies. He revealed that the Shimla police found in the case of the infamous drug smuggler Sanjay Bhuria that the most important secret services were passed on within the police headquarters.

“The drug smuggling is a serious problem in Himachal. If the DGP's own office is involved in Undak information, it is my responsibility to draw this publicly,” said Gandhi. He also claimed that two months ago the permission of the court was obtained to further examine these links.

The case of Vinay Agarwal, which is accused of spending the fake IG, is now reopened after the accusations that the DGP has influenced the officials to withdraw the case. SP Gandhi has informed both the general lawyer and the additional general secretary (home) about official communication.

At the same time, the CID leak was handed over to the state CID, and a letter was issued to SP Shimla for full cooperation and recovery submission.
