Alex Cora gives Boston Red Sox injuries

Boston-and the starter from Red Sox, Richard Fitts, will probably make a second Rehabilitation start for Triple-A Worcester in Scranton/Wilkes-Bar on Tuesday.

“From now on he should throw it,” said manager Alex Cora on Sunday before Boston's series finale against Orioles.

Fitts achieved a 3.18-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-aerone, 1.12 whip and 0.226 stroke average in three starts for Boston before ending up on the 15-day injury list with a right breast load.

The 25-year-old started his first rehab on Thursday for Portland. He threw 3 goalless innings and gave up four goals and no walks, while scored two in the 6: 3 victory of the Sea Dogs against reading at home. He threw 38 parking spaces (31 strikes).

The Red Sox need a starter for Tuesday in Milwaukee. Nobody in the current rotation would regularly rest after the Doubleheader on Saturday. And so there is always a way that Boston could decide to activate the fits for the brewery.

~ Romy Gonzalez seems to approach a rehab task. He has been on the 10-day injury list with a left Quad premiere since May 10 (retrospectively until May 8).

“He said he felt better,” said Cora. “We will have the medical decision made. But as he speaks, how he moves, he said: 'Man, I think I can play this week.' But we only have to go through the medical part.

~ Alex Bregman will not travel with the team on the way to Milwaukee and Atlanta. He will remain here to get treatment.

Bregman suffered a “important” quad strain on Friday. Boston put him on the injured list on Saturday.

Both Cora and Bregman said that it is similar to the left Quad strain that the third Baseman suffered in 2021. This injury kept him on the IL from June 17th on the IL. 25.

~ At Masataka Yoshida's progress, Cora recently heard that he was ejected to 60 feet. He is with the team here in Boston, but could return to Fort Myers to resume his rehab.

The 31-year-old was subjected to a repair of the right shoulder-labal repair in Boston on October 3. He had a cortisone shot at the beginning of this month.
